Who We Are?
BURUCUOGLU Law & Consultancy was founded by Mr. Goktug BURUCUOGLU in IZMIR. Mr. BURUCUOGLU graduated from Kuleli Military High School in 2012. He continued his education at Ankara University, Faculty of Law, between 2012 – 2016.
After graduating with honors in 2016, He started his Master’s Degree in Maritime Law. It has been his favorite area of specialization since studying at Ankara University, Faculty of Law.
His thesis study on “P&I Club Insurance Coverage in case of Loss / Damage of Cargo” was completed with success and he graduated with an LL.M. degree. He is continuing his academic career at Yaşar University, Faculty of Law, as a Ph.D. candidate.
After his graduation, Av. BURUCUOGLU started his professional career at FEYZİOĞLU Attorney Partnership, which is managed by Av. Prof. Dr. Metin FEYZİOĞLU and Av. Birgül FEYZİOĞLU, and after his successful work in the field of Criminal and Commercial Law, he continued his professional life in Izmir and established BURUCUOĞLU Law & Consultancy office. BURUCUOĞLU Law & Consulting is on the recommended lawyers list of the American Embassy and the British Embassy.
He also serves as a mediator in the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Turkey and is a sworn translator for the Ministry of Justice in English.
Av. BURUCUOGLU is the author of the book titled “The Scope of Coverage in the Event of Loss or Damage of Goods within the Framework of P&I Club Insurance” and several refereed articles. In addition, Av. BURUCUOGLU is a lecturer at Piri Reis University, where he teaches “Marine Insurance” as part of the “Ship Chartering and Brokerage Training” program.
His areas of expertise are maritime law, transportation law, insurance law, corporate and commercial law.
